Italy–Turkey: Associations strengthen cooperation in the marble and natural stone processing machinery sector

On Wednesday, a high-level meeting was held in Izmir between Confindustria Marmomacchine and TUM MER (Natural Stone and Machinery Manufacturers Association), further reinforcing the strong ties between Italy and Turkey in the marble and natural stone processing machinery sector.

The meeting brought together key representatives of the industry: Flavio Marabelli, Honorary President of Confindustria Marmomacchine, and Hanifi Simsek and Mehmet Serter, President and Vice President of TUM MER.

Hosted at the İZFAŞ headquarters by CEO Tuğçe Hanoğlu Cumalıoğlu, with the participation of Emircan Özsoy and Arif Sağlam, the discussions centered on future strategic cooperation at the international level. Both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining a structured and constructive dialogue to support innovation, competitiveness, and growth in the natural stone industry.

The program concluded with a visit to the Digital Art Exhibition, inaugurated by Izmir Mayor Cemil Tugay, who welcomed the Italian and Turkish delegations. The occasion highlighted once again the value of collaboration between institutions and trade associations in strengthening the international profile of the sector.
