The Municipality of Carrara has approved a key amendment to its quarry management framework, allowing marble quarrying companies to increase their excavation volumes by up to 20%.
This regulatory adjustment, rooted in the Regional Quarry Plan (Piano regionale cave), the Extraction Basin Operational Plans (PABE), and the newly established local regulation, introduces an incentive-based system for the industry.
