Franchi Umberto Marmi S.p.A., leading international company in the processing and trading of Carrara marble, listed on Euronext Growth Milan announces that total revenues as of June 30, 2022 amounted to EUR 41.5 million, with an increase of 24%, compared to the same period of the previous year, with a significant increase in sales in Italy, the Middle East and the United States.
In particular, as of June 30, 2022 sales in Italy grew by 32% compared to the same period of 2021, reaching EUR 19.4 million equal to 47% of total sales for the period.
Noteworthy is the strong surge in sales achieved in the Middle East, which reached EUR 6.8 million in the first half of 2022, with an increase of 273% over the same period of 2021, representing over 16% of total sales for the period.
Sales in the United States, as of June 30, 2022 recorded a significant growth equal to 35% compared to the first half of 2021, reaching EUR 4.2 million; in China the result achieved in the first half of 2022 is relevant, with sales equal to EUR 8.0 million, substantially confirming the values achieved in the same period of last year.
The increase in sales on the domestic market and especially on international markets confirm the solidity and worth of the Company’s commercial strategy focused on the presence in international markets and on high value products of Carrara Marble such as Calacatta and Statuario.
In the first half of 2022, Statuario showed exceptional performance, reaching sales equal to EUR 13.3 million, growing by 63% compared to the same period of the previous year. In the first half of 2022 Calacatta recorded an increase of 11% compared to the same period of 2021, reaching EUR 10.9 million in revenues. Overall, Statuario and Calacatta contributed over 59% of total sales achieved in the first half of 2022.
