International market developments, commercial prospects and the challenges shaping the natural stone industry will be at the centre of an international panel discussion at Stone Africa 2026, bringing together representatives of companies from six countries.
The session will take place on 14 November 2026 at the Stone Africa exhibition pavilion, within the Cairo International Convention Centre in Cairo, under the theme “Global Trends and Market Outlook in the Natural Stone Industry.”
Six representatives of the international natural stone industry will participate, coming from Spain, Poland, Finland, the United States, Brazil and the United Kingdom. The speakers are Carmen Maria Garcia Sanchez of Marmoles Sol, Dariusz Duda of Focus Stone, Heikki Palin of Palin Granite, Olga Rakhmatulina of Olga Marble, Paulo Giafarov of DGG Stones and Rogerio Moutinho of MGLW.
The discussion will be moderated by Anil Taneja of LITOSonline.com, who is active in international natural stone industry information and market analysis.
International Markets and Commercial Challenges in Focus
The panel’s composition, bringing together representatives from different geographical markets, is expected to provide an opportunity to exchange business perspectives and industry experience.
Potential discussion topics include markets attracting increased interest, the balance between material differentiation and reliable delivery, and the information buyers require before moving from an initial sample assessment to a substantive commercial relationship.
For businesses operating in the sector, these issues are particularly relevant in a market where access to new customers, adaptation to the requirements of different markets and the ability to ensure consistent supply are important factors in competitiveness.
The international background of the speakers will also provide an opportunity to explore different perspectives on developments in natural stone extraction, processing and trade.
Separate Registration Required for Panel Attendance
The discussion forms part of the Stone Africa 2026 programme, which will take place from 12 to 15 November in Cairo. The exhibition aims to combine the presentation of materials and products with opportunities for professional networking and the exchange of views among businesses across the international natural stone industry.
According to the organisers, attendance at the panel requires a separate pre-registration and selection process. Applications will be reviewed, with selected participants notified by email. Registration as an exhibition visitor does not automatically guarantee a place at the discussion, while the exact session time will be announced at a later date.
Through this initiative, Stone Africa 2026 aims to encourage dialogue among professionals from different markets, providing an additional meeting point for the exchange of knowledge and experience across the international natural stone industry.
