According to statistics released by the ICE Office in Istanbul on TURKSTAT data, Turkish exports of natural stones in the first five months of this year decreased in value by 11.9% compared to the same period of the previous year.
In the first five months of 2023, total Turkish exports reached US $733.525.690, with a concentration of exports of blocks in China (65.5% of this total) and a concentration of exports of processed products in the USA (29.6% of this total).
Noteworthy is that the total export of raw materials (blocks of natural stone) shows a decrease of 6% compared to the same period of the previous year. Meanwhile, the total export of semi-finished and finished products (slabs and tiles of natural stone) shows a decrease of 14% compared to the first five months of 2022.
